Yes, and our appreciation for Jake -- at least for me -- has a huge amount to do with BBM, which is what brought us together here in the first place.  While he is an amazing actor with quite a body of work already at his young age, to me, in BBM we got him in a most beautiful and perfect stage of his life and his acting.

kathy

I do love all his characters.  I have talked with Jennis about his "great" roles and his "gentle" roles.  Although I do love his great roles, I have a special place in my heart for his gentle ones.  Of all his roles, Jack Twist bridges the "great" and the "gentle" divide.  He is both.

After months of seeing the pics in this series and not saying anything, I have to say the "good looking" part bothers me.  I really doubt that shirt is his personal choice, but what they wanted him to wear.  I think he wouldn't be so shallow as to make "good looking" a written requirement of his.

kathy

I do think it would be the photographer's prerogative.  Is it supposed to make a statement?

So lovely.  The strong black is wonderful and contrasts with the red.

He's almost too beautiful to  be believed in this one. The way the light plays on him and his hair. And those moles are to die for....... <^(

Thanks Rosie.  I can't see the pic right now -- my loss.  So many beautiful pix of him.  You are right: he is too beautiful to be believed.

Classy, though not stuffy. :)

Edward Furlong look a like ;)
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
