Last one, good night all :ghug:

He is a GOD!!
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Ya know, I still sometimes have trouble processing that the Jake from back then is the Jake we see now. I used to think he was the dorkiest guy. I liked him but never found him attractive. I had so much trouble picturing him as Jack Twist because all I could think of at the time was Bubble Boy. Then one day, there was sexy Jake and I had to do a double take because I was just stunned. One of those "Wait a cotton picking minute!" kind of situations.

Who could have guessed, no?  His characters in October sky and Bubble Boy  are so different, but not exactly hunk roles ;)   Interesting roles, nonetheless, especially Homer Hickam in October Sky.

I think this is how he got his early reputation as a nerd and "dorky" (to use K Dunst's description).  He was so young when he did these.  Was he 17 or 18 when he did October Sky?

Jimmy is such a zany character.

I love these sets you're posting, Thomas...but they're almost too small for me to really appreciate.  Give a break to one with older eyes...

Sorry kathy.  I just like Jake gems...  :)
