These 2 pics are amazing. Jake is so beautiful in them!

Perfect!

I totally agree Twisted, he looks really beautiful, and quite wistful.

Anyone know where he was?

Yes, very beautiful! <^(

It's from the  LAF Ride For The Roses - Dinner Program. :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Oh dear god....Jake in lycra :d) :d) :d)

I take it these photos were taken at the Ride for the Roses weekend in Austin? Great to see Jake at that - such an incredible cause.

BTW to whoever asked, the yellow bracelet is for the LiveStrong campaign, part of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. It was originally a Nike idea and they expected to sell about 1 million of them. Pretty sure at last count they were up to well over 10 million. I've been wearing mine for over 2 years now....nice to have something in common with Jake!

He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

Deep and thoughtful and shamelessly showing his underwear.  A Renaissance man, you might say.

kathy

If he were naked, he would look classical.  :)

Oh!  Love this.  And I don't think I've seen it.  Gorgeous profile, yes, but just gorgeousness all over.  And, I really love when his hair is longer in the back.  I'm an old hippie, you know, and I like longer hair on men (as long as it's done well, goes without saying).  I know the trend is for more clean-cut lines on the perimeter...but I love, love this longness in the back.  Besides his crazy spiky longness all over.

Have I said I love his hair?

kathy

Its rare that you find him sporting long and unruly hair nowadays.  But yes, I can see what you mean.

Oh, is that what it's called?  That makes us fall down and drool and all that?

kathy

Yes.  Have I mentioned going blind? ;)

I truly am speechless here...  He should be in a museum.

(Amusing it's called "classichunkofman.")

kathy

I love the shirtless series.  Yes, it has classical undercurrents, no?

I wonder what they were talking about.  And, they're both adjusting their cuffs?

I like him in B/W suits and don't think he looks conservative, but classy.  I think it's just the gray suits that feel to me too conservative.

kathy

I stand corrected.  Classy:

No one take this wrong, but he could play Jesus, don't you think?

kathy

Ummmm...  Yes.  But if he ever plays that role, I would be guilt-ridden.  The feelings of desire engendered would be closer to things of this world...

Yes, I saw that.  Makes me wonder (1) if he looks at his own pix as much as we do! and (2) I wonder how many times he watched BBM?

kathy

He looks amused looking at his own pix.  Actually, there is a hint of charming self-consciousness....

Interesting picture.  He is like the point of stillness with all the movement around him.  He is the center of the universe!  ::)

And the woman there is probably asking for an autograph, and he is giving her his complete attention.  Classy.  (Though I've also seen him signing on the run.)

kathy

I think that pic came from the Oscar luncheon -- didn't he give something he got from the luncheon to his mother?  I think the lady was taking a roll call?
