Thanks Thomas :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Why is it that none of the employees at the one hour photo labs I go to look like this? All I find are grumpy woman who aren't nearly as attractive as Jake. Oh woe is me!

I hope these pics are okay.. as the Lakers game is an official event, right? (I know we also had some pics of Heath at a Lakers game, too ;)

Hello Hanna.  Yes, this is fine.  :)

Thank you!  They are all beautiful.  Jennis sent me a couple where his eyes seem to glisten with moisture-- from tears?  They are so beautiful.

Friends, I make an early exit today.  I am to attend a function dedicated to my late friends, Robert.

I leave you with this pic.  Kathy, note the hollow at the base of the neck.  ;)

Thanks all for the wonderful contributions for today.  :)  Good night!

That series has such a narcissistic flavor to it all.  Very beautiful nonetheless...

I think it looks narcissistic to the viewer, but we are the ones seeing him seeming to look into his reflection -- I think he wasn't seeing his reflection in this series.  Am I explaining that right?

BTW, were you gone for the holiday w'end?  I missed you!

Quite wonderful lighting of his face.  Not too sharp and not very soft.  Just right.

So agree.  This is quite beautiful, in between soft and sharp -- yes, perfect.  The lighting people with the photographers probably do enjoy lighting him.

I really love Jake in B/W, a beautiful strength; but I totally fall for him when he's earth-toned.  I love the one on the right unreasonably.  ::)

Wonderful dream kathy.  Thanks for sharing it.  What you describe certainly has that dream-like quality to it.  But how sure are you that you aren't dreaming right now and that THAT wasn't reality?

Ha!  I am not sure, and  neither are you.  In fact, I've been having such intriguing dreams lately, with lots of people in them, and remembering them, too.  It may not be too far-fetched to think that this being so during the past year has something to do with BBM.  As opposed to my old common dreams of losing something and fruitlessly trying to find it, etc.  Hmm...

From one of my favorite series: the Jarhead NYC Premiere pix.

This pic has everything.  The eyes of blue.  The angelic face -- thinner than usual -- and the delicate neck (kathy, take note).

Friends, thank you so much for sharing.  :)

Ah, yes...  Certainly I notice the neck, Thomas.  But you forgot the lips, the lips, oh...  With the blue of his eyes, the pink of his lips is just amazing.

I found this one the other day:

OMG!  Another heart-stopping, me-falling-down one!  Jeez, Jake is nothing less than stunningly gorgeous in this one.  Heath isn't bad either of course!

More about this one:  it always looks to  me like Jake has the sweetest private thoughts, when he's looking thoughtful like this.
