I'm trying to catch up on some sleep in time for London.  So I'll say good night a bit earlier than usual.

London and the UK have treated Jake very well.   Not bad, considering that he's an LA/California native through and through.  I'm sure he appreciates this very much.  It shows in the pic.  ;)

Friends, I'll see you tomorrow!  :)

They save as jpegs for me. You may need to clear your cache.

Will do -- though I don't get at all what clearing my cache has to do with a pic coming up as a Bitmap when I click Save As.  You don't need to explain, though, if you don't want.  But if you want to, I'm all ears.

Thanks kathy.  It's freezing here right now.  We need some pix to keep us warm.  ;)

Pics to keep us warm, pics to cool us down, pics to make us laugh, pics to make us cry.  Or drool or faint or discuss or whatever.

BTW, see, when I saved the above pic, it came up as a .jpeg.  It's only Twisted's that come up as a Bitmap, and the drop-down doesn't give any other choices.

Yes, it was filmed right after BBM, and I shink it came out almost simultaneously  -- "Proof" was long delayed and cam out slightly before BBM and Jarhead.

A beauty:

Yes, this is a fascinating pic.

Okay, that's very interesting.  Jake went from being Jack to being Swoff; and Heath went from Ennis to Casanova.

This is a more subtle look than the more well known ones in this series.  Love the slight ambiguity in his look...

I love this one!  I wouldn't exactly know how to describe his look in this...so ambiguity is a good word.  I'll have to study it more...

Here's another pic from a another well-known series.  He has a knowing look, as if to say "I know I am immortal!"  ;)

God I love this one!  I've not seen it.  The lighting is lovely -- highlights everything beautiful about his face.

I think he's saying "I know I have a beautiful hollow at the base of my throat, for those of you who appreciate such things."

Love the look on his face in the pic on the lefthand-side below:

Oh! Oh! Oh!  I haven't seen these two from this wet series.  Whew, indeed.  And yes, especially the one on the left.  This might be the hottest pic of Jake ever.  Though even when he's not being "hot" he is hot anyway.  He's so cool that he's hot.

I'll be glad to explain it. For whatever reason, Internet Explorer keeps images around as bitmaps. When you go to save an image in IE, the first thing that happens is IE checks to see if the image is in the cache. If the image is not in the cache, the only representation IE has of the image (without downloading it again) is mshtml's internal representation, which is a bitmap. So when the cache is full and the image cannot be download to cache, it defaults to its bitmap form. Clearing the cache usually does the trick, but other times there is another problem. I wouldn't worry about that though unless you still can't save as a jpeg even after clearing your cache.

Now, to apologize for that OTness, here are a couple of pictures...

The Jarhead premiere series of pix is an endless source of pleasure for me.  I hope it is the same with you. :)

That it is...though I couldn't say exactly why.  Is it the impeccableness of him?  Impeccable Jake-ness.

Something about his face in the above pic that makes me stop and stare.  What is it in that look?

Well, number one, we stop and stare at every pic, don't we?  But this one, it's something like, he is looking at the viewer, but it is almost as if he is also being seen, saying "see me -- this is who I am."  It's a look without guile or something.  Not that he does "guile" for the camera -- not at all -- but this look is very open, just plain Jake.

And pic #2, love it of course!

I don't know about you, but I find this series of pics veeeery sexy ::)

Yep.  You know how I don't "respond" very much to young Jake (or Heath), but this is the series that I said would lead me to "contribute to the delinquency of a minor"!  Very sexy, indeed.  Maybe he was just coming into his sexiness and out of his nerdiness at this stage.

You know I like Jake in all sorts of hairstyles -- including the the Jarhead style.  :)

Speaking of hair -- so it would seem he shaved his chest hair for BBM.  Wonder why.

And it's one of the best of that series, too.  Love it!

Wait a minute -- something's weird.  Look how Jake looks taller than Heath.  But he's not; and in most pics in this series it's noticable how Heath is taller.

Heath is looking Jake's neck.. Hmm.. ;) Lovely pic <^(
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
