I'll be glad to explain it. For whatever reason, Internet Explorer keeps images around as bitmaps. When you go to save an image in IE, the first thing that happens is IE checks to see if the image is in the cache. If the image is not in the cache, the only representation IE has of the image (without downloading it again) is mshtml's internal representation, which is a bitmap. So when the cache is full and the image cannot be download to cache, it defaults to its bitmap form. Clearing the cache usually does the trick, but other times there is another problem. I wouldn't worry about that though unless you still can't save as a jpeg even after clearing your cache.

Now, to apologize for that OTness, here are a couple of pictures...

OT, but thanks for supplying an explanation.  :)

I would trade the Virgin's girdle for his neck.  :)

I'm actually laughing out loud at that one Thomas!  ;D ;D  As someone who also likes his neck. :i

That it is...though I couldn't say exactly why.  Is it the impeccableness of him?  Impeccable Jake-ness.

kathy

Yes, you're right: especially in the NYC series.  Hard to say why.  The impeccable style.  The slight gauntness in the face that makes the eyes seem even more brilliant.  The soft almost indiscernible, the almost otherworldly beauty.

Well, number one, we stop and stare at every pic, don't we?  But this one, it's something like, he is looking at the viewer, but it is almost as if he is also being seen, saying "see me -- this is who I am."  It's a look without guile or something.  Not that he does "guile" for the camera -- not at all -- but this look is very open, just plain Jake.

And pic #2, love it of course!

kathy

I think you have it right, kathy.  It has a more candid look and feel to it -- that pic.  Thanks you.  It's good to compare notes!

Speaking of hair -- so it would seem he shaved his chest hair for BBM.  Wonder why.

kathy

Interesting question.  He was preparing to be in shape for both films simultanesouly, no?  Anyway, there is still some chest hair discernible in BBM.  Which one is his more natural look?  Don't really know.  :)

Time for a lunch break!  Be back shortly to continue...

Oh Thomas!  LOL and  :^^)

And it's one of the best of that series, too.  Love it!

kathy

I love the way Jake's hand rests on Heath's shoulder.  :)

Wait a minute -- something's weird.  Look how Jake looks taller than Heath.  But he's not; and in most pics in this series it's noticable how Heath is taller.

kathy
Nothing strange.  Heath is 6'1" and Jake is 6'.  Taking into account Jake's hair and the absence of it on Heath in these pix, I am sure we can account for the illusion.  :)

Also, Heath is shown bending his knees a little in some of the pix (see below).

I agree with that, although it seems he is mainly posing for the photographer

True, although the affection between the two appears to be genuine.  :)

Too cute  <^(

I like the way Heath bends his knees like that.  :)

In these pix, you get the opposite effect -- Heath looks much taller, because he is closer to the viewer than Jake:

Very interesting. I guess we all just need to see them up close and personal to know for sure. And.. that second picture is hot!  :d)

Looks like an old photograph.  But the look is more mature...  kathy's man-boy.

Good night, friends.  :)  I leave you with a pic of Jake as Graysmith.

Beautiful, as always.

OMG!!

You sure killed me, Thomas! First thing I saw when I woke up.. This is going to be happy day <^( <^(
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
