Oh my, I've never actually seen a pic of this actual shot before.....I just love it....I think I've worn my dvd out from playing certain scenes over and over and over again...the reunion kiss being one of them....

I adore the way Ennis is trying really hard NOT to look at Jack at any point during the whole scene with Alma and yet cant help it....and while Jack is looking at Alma, Ennis thinks he's free to do so....and for that split second he looks at Jack and its like you say, mpj, he's urging to Jack to shut up so they can get out of there to do their "drinking and talking"   :*(

(I dont think there are enough hours in the day for me to analyse all the scenes, but I would give it a try!)

I think I've had too much wine.....I'm thinking all kinds of things here, and none are angelic.

I do love this scene, I remember trying to analyse why Jack was putting his boots in the fire....but then, there hasnt been a scene that I havent attempted to analyse.  Sometimes its best just to watch it and enjoy....especially with you describing this scene as the perfect foreplay.... >:D.

Here's more...foreplay...or you could just call it flirting, cowboy style.  :*(

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!!! This bitter face, those intensely sad and powerful eyes, those wrinkles of pure despair and still that totally stunning beauty of this older Jack!!! I LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART THIS PIC!!!

First time I saw the film I was really mesmerized with this scene. So after second time I realized that I already knew all the exchanges between Ennis and Jack. I have memorized all words with two views. Still I have them deep inside my soul. This scene is haunting and unbearably heartbreaking.
