sadness also connects them.
But I treasure their happy moments just as deeply and the next big project I'm working on will show them too

But we also know that Jack will take him in his arm in just a few seconds and that their love is unbroken, deep and steady, and will be like this forever. And ever.

Absolutely. Also, as strange and sad as it it, this is what connects them as well. They are in it together, for both the good and the bad.
Fortunatley there's so much good too! Ennis would have missed so much without Jack to show him and Jack would never have found this kind of love anywhere else.
