It is always so wonderful to cruise the threads and see the wonderful things that are posted. Ang may not add the cut scenes to the director's cut but we have stills that can let us think about what was. I'd like more but it is enough.
I agree, BBBoy -- there are so many stills that weren't seen in the movie, that we can keep our imaginations busy, whether we get those deleted scenes or not. And speaking of deleted scenes, wha about all the takes that are done for a movie? I mean, are those discarded immediately? and not considered "deleted scenes"? They're not using film, are they? So there's no "cutting room floor." We see them looking at scenes on the video monitor on the set, so I guess Ang would look at that, or just know from the filming, or from the guys themselves, that it wasn't right, and say to do another take.
Tizi: there are so many of these (which I see you going nuts over in above posts) and you just have to go search for them in the Pix threads, unless someone can direct you more specifically. One thing I can say is that almost all of the stills used for the ebay wardrobe auction, which I think was in November, were
not from the movie as we saw it. As soon as we all saw those, we started posting them. They all say "(c) Focus Features" in lower right. So on the pages from November of Jack Pix, Ennis Pix, and this thread, you will find them.
If anyone can give better info or correct my admittedly sometimes-imperfect memory, please do so.
