The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

Ditto thanks greenfrog (and Hanna) for these pixs. This is my absolute favorite scene (re: my avatar). I think not only are Ennis & Jack having a great time, but I think Jake & Heath are having a real good time too - I see four people when I watch this. Boys just playin’ around and so happy to be with one another, showin’ off, hittin’ each other and goofing off.

The hittin’ ON each other would come later. ;)

 Great pictures! I just love this scene  What once seemed like an ember is once again a bright burning fame. No pretense just real love rekindled. this is the reunion scene to me. These picture say everything  they feel. Such hope and happiness in their eyes.

hpv, I can't see the pic just now, but I can guess that it is the one where they are shown asleep in the tent.  This is my late friend Robert's favorite scene in the entire movie.  It is a wonderful pendant to the FNIT, no?
