Title: where will/did you buy the DVD?
Post by: bokano on Mar 12, 2006, 02:43 PM: I want to know where will you buy the DVD when it comes out.

Orginally I want to buy it online, but now I want to buy in a physical store (e.g. Walmart, Target, Bestbuy, compusa....)

I want to surprise the cashiers, especially those who haven't seen the movie yet. I want to show them how popular it is.

And, of course, I will feel very pround of myself when I check out.....(cry)

When you order with amazon, even if the release date is on a monday, you usually get it on the saturday just before!!! I can't wait to place my pre-order!!!

One copy is on it's way through pre-order on the web, but I'll be buying two other copies, at least, the day it's released, most likely from HMV.

Although,I like the idea that's been expressed about buying it from various locations, to show more people in the industry how popular BBM is with it's fans. There are at least a dozen video stores within walking distance of my office, so I may take that route. Thanks for the idea.

Post by: chameau on Mar 21, 2006, 12:28 PM: A little warning to our friends who are not in DVD zone 1, and want to order from America to play on you laptop or desktop. The DVD player on the computer could be disabled after 5 times you switch from a DVD zone 1 to another zone back and forth.

However, I'm quite sure there are some wizards on this board who will know how to manage with this.

1. New movies start at $14.87 at my Wal-Mart.

2. I used to work there, and that was the job that I quit, in part because of the way the other cashiers were treating me after one started a rumor about me being gay.

Post by: donnaread on Mar 30, 2006, 10:22 PM: Just ordered mine from the BBM website (Universal Studios) they said it would ship on Apr 2. I don't know if my local WalMart will be getting it. Poster is not up :'(. I called and asked them about it, they said it was too soon to put the poster up...I said well the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA poster is up and it comes out on the same date. She didn't have an answer to that one :-X. I will try calling tomorrow during regular "business" hours. Sometimes those people in the store don't know what they are talking about ???

I think Wal-Mart is a good place to buy it. That's where I'm buying it.

If this is true, then I'me buying it at Best Buy instead of Wal-Mart. My best Buy sells new movies for $19.99 and the Wal-Mart sells them for $14.87.

One friend of mine is going to target on Tuesday to get it. I just saw in their ad that the dvd is coming with a bonus audio cd of the short story {limited qty.} . I may have her pick me up one of those too while I'm at it.

Why don't you buy a multi zone player while you are in USA? They are very cheap now, like 75$ if not less.

My 10 copies ordered from Wolfe have arrived. They have a different cover from the one I ordered from Amazon. No silver frame which I like better. The back is the same.
