How many times have you watched the DVD?
-
As of now, I have resisted watching the DVD. I am going to the last theatre showing of BBM in Chicago tonight. Sometime after that, I will open the dvd and watch it.
There is one copy of the dvd I shall never open. It is kept in a small box containing things that are dear to me....
-
I watched once after receiving it in the mail. I find it so emotional, that I'm a wreck for the rest of the day. I think I'll have to put it away for awhile.
-
1 time and I have 3 copies, it's so hard to watch it... a lot of emotions!
;)

Bless your heart.

Once - last night. I put a little note in the DVD to write the date of viewing.
It was hard for me...I cried my eyes out.
-
Only selected scenes :-[ :-X :'( :'( :'( I had to stop, I was a total mess :'(
-
Twice ;D
-
Three times.
First was awful... two interuptions so I had to reverse it. Much beter the second and third.

Good idea, still no full viewing here yet.
-
Twice, so far. Tonight, it'll be three times.
-
Finally, once and I survived it. My fellow frogs on the French thread helped me to get ready for it today, it was was a busy and interesting day on the French thread. Frogs rock! Second viewing on DVD is planned tomorrow evening with friends, they already saw BBM.
-
This thread will never end Chameau x
-
1 full viewing last night. I'm going to try to watch it tonight and have plans for Monday at another friend's house. I'm still tearing up on and off and feel that ache inside so I may not be able to watch it tonight. I have a few scenes to check out though- I think I can handle that.
-
I watched the movie once so far..and cried my eyes out..and the other night I watched the extras..they were good..
-
Tonight was the third time I've watched it.
-
2nd time Saturday, it took us 5 hours... we kept watching scenes over and over again!
I tried a 3rd time yesterday, I was not able to go trough it... severe PBS!
-
Once so far. I am trying to space it out so it stays fresh.
-
once so far, but with certain scenes replayed. . . . I have to watch it at times when I can feel at peace and uninterrupted, hard to come by at this time of year.
-
3 times in full, last one yesterday.
-
I got mine yesterday and watched it twice yesterday in full .
-
I have watched it 3 times. My friend, Ken, asked me today if I would bring it up to his place next week and we watch it again.
I told him that we could put the subtitles on and also pause it to discuss certain scenes. We might have seen it in the theater; but, he had a operation in January and has been in and out of the hospital a number of times since.
He has an old mono tv but a new DVD/VCR and a new stereo. I told him we could connect the stereo to the player and hear it in stereo.
-
4 times so far. I was at the store at 8:00 a.m. on April 4th. :)
-
I have seen it twice so far the full movie..and one time I just watched the extras
-
Is gazillion a number? ;)
I've watched it 14 times so far. Some days I watch the whole movie then go to the scenes section & watch some scenes over!
-
If only I had the time!
-
In full.. as of now, I have watched it three times on DVD
like 2000 if you count the times i just watch the reunion and tent scene over and over and over and over.. plus the bonus features.. haha !
-
Three times, probably a fourth this weekend. ::)
-
5 times in full.
Scene-wise, I've watched certain scenes too many times to count. ;)
-
Got it on Wednesday and watched it one and a half times so far, plus several extra viewings of the SNIT and the reunion kiss (I know, I know...) Also watched the scenes from Lightning Flat a couple of extra times trying to hear/see the "I love you" (worth the effort)
Had been planning to watch it with my boyfriend tonight, but ended up not having the time (never enough time...) It's a holiday weekend here in the UK though, so I'm sure I'll find a spare couple of hours at some point ;)
-
Well, believe it or not, I haven't watched it all yet. I have two copies, the widescreen and the full screen versions, and both have not been opened! Note that this is coming from someone who saw BBM nine times in the theater...
I am not sure why. Part of it is that I have been waiting for a "good" time, whatever that means. Mostly, though, I think that is just a lack of courage. The thought of sitting in my living room by myself facing all the emotions that will come to the surface is just enough to stop me in my tracks, apparently. If I had someone to watch with, it might be different; or if the movie were still playing in the theater, I would be there in an instant... Weird... For now, the plastic wrap remains intact...

I know what you feel, I watched it 3 times in full, I found a theater that was still playing it in between, I ran to the theater. At the end of the first watch of he DVD by myself, in my living room I was just an emotional wretch and I'm kind of scared to watch it again, at least alone. BTW, BBM is not made for a TV screen, it doesn't fit.
Sorry I was OT
-
I haven't yet watched it in full. I have watched from the beginning through the end of their summer on BBM, and I've watched FNIT, SNIT, and the reunion scene countless times as well. Like some others, I just haven't gotten what feels like "the right time" yet to sit through an entire, emotional screening. I want to--but have been a little afraid to so far.
-
First time for me tonight! Well, entirely I mean, as I had already watched several scenes... :P
I watched it with the english subtitles, so that I understand better what they say exactly :)
-
Had my 4th DVD viewing this afternoon at my parents' house. They are away and I got to play the DVD on the projector. Of course I was a mess. Size does matter. Just kidding ;D

-
Twice since I bought it last weekend + I watched all video's on YouTube
-
many many many many times ang still go on :cr)
-
I bought the UK-Version in April and think I have watched BBM since them about 30 - 40 times. I`m obssesed.
-
I watched the DVD at least ten to fifteen times. I like to freeze it during certain scenes. It still astounds me that this film did not win best picture at the Oscars.
-
ohh i lost the count the last month, but i watched hundred times and never stop, sometimes when i can't resist the tiredness on a hard working day, i go to my room and watch the movie again and forces return to me, it's magic.
-
I lost count long ago but definately over 100 times in DVD. It deserved "best picture". Dumb ass Oscar.
-
I've lost count too. I'm going to have to buy a new one since I've practically worn mine out!
Dumb ass Oscar.
;D
-
Twice ;D

;D
LOL! I'll probably worn my out soon too. Same goes for the sound track.
-
't was my first time today. I myself can hardly believe it.....but I just couldn't bring myself to watch it earlier ( and mind you, I bought the dvd AGES ago ), not after those marvelous and cathartic theater experiences!
-
Now i've lost the count :cr) bravo
-
Probably less than I'll watch it in the future and I lost the count too :s)
-
I haven't seen it on DVD yet...still getting up the courage to go buy the collector's edition DVD. But when I get it, I'm sure I'll be watching it at least once a week. ;D
-
As Jack said, never enough. I loved the movie, but the ending is SO hard to get through. I do watch the happier parts from time to time. I am writing BBM stories.
if you go to fanfiction.net you can see some of my stuff (everything except two wip)
:h)
-
:\'( trekfan, your fanfic brought tears to my eyes. Did you know there's a fanfic thread here? I'm sure a lot of brokies would love to read yours. oh yea and :h) sorry that's all for now. I'm just too teary eyed.
-
maybe about fifty times. I sometimes watch only sections which would make it more.

Same for me, I lost the count and I often look at selected scenes, mostly always the same ones.
-
It's countless here too..It's a wonderful movie..every time I see it O0
-
Not so much even... i think ::)
-
10 or more <^(
-
30 +++++++++
couldn't count! :)
-
Couldn't begin to count, though it's not once a wk. like it was for the longest time. I would get so depressed that that was all I thought about for mths. I try to watch it once a mth. or so, and it doesn't seem to get me down like it did. It still hurts, but at least I don't feel like I've been stabbed in the heart.
-
Way too many times to count, though sometimes not for long stretches of time. I'm watching it right now. ::) Here we go again.
-
too many to count ::)
-
I've lost count since April 2006. I think I watched it about 6 weeks ago. I think it was good I waited awhile. This time the tears came back. :_(
-
Five times. I'm getting ready for the sixth time. With tissue ...
-
Ferdinand you will need tissue for at least the next 10 viewings. :_(
-
You're right! Tissue will never be enough! :-\\
-
Hum don't know maybe 6 or 7 times :i
-
You're right! Tissue will never be enough! :-\\
"Breaking News! The entire world's tissue supply has been used up by crazed fans of the iconic movie 'Brokeback Mountain'. Fans say that the sadness is so great they go through boxes of tissues at a time, yet they cannot stop watching! This reporter begs you, factory workers, to get out there and make more tissues!!! This is Kent Brockman signing off"
Teehee!!! ^*()
-

-
I am sure this forum was behind the great tissue shortage of early 2006. :_( :_(
