It is in In Touch magazine I bought

(just bought it)

They played cowboys in love in the movie Brokeback Mountain, and now Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger are being asked to kiss again - on TV's Will & Grace! According to a show insider, producers are working overtime trying to get Heath and Jake to appear on an upcoming episode, playing - what else? - gay comboys. The insider says that both stars seem to be interested in appearing on the hit show.

The insider says Jake and Heath will only to appear on Will & Grace after the Oscars because they don't want to hurt the movie's chances of winning.

Pretty nice huh? Wish they will kiss again

If rumours are to be believed, the stars of ‘Brokeback Mountain’, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal will be soon re-enacting that kiss!

Producers on ‘Will & Grace’ are desperate to get the actors to appear on the TV show as gay cowboys.

According to In Touch magazine the pair are interested in the spoof episode but only after the Academy Awards have taken place.

I have to say I'm a bit concerned about it. I like Will and Grace as a TV show and a lot of famous people have sucessfully portrayed characters on the series. It doesn't say if Heath and Jake have accepted nor does it say if they would appear as themselves or as the characters of "Brokeback Mountain"

I was wondering what people would think if Jake and Heath actually did a caracature of Ennis and Jack on TV. Do you think it would belittle the movie and the characters they so honestly portrayed? I'm not sure how I feel about this yet.

Hmmm seems just like more publicity? Will & Grace is a really good show and I've missed it these past two weeks b/c it's on at 5pm in the afternoon.....not the usual time for such a good show, so I keep forgetting it's on :'( But idk, I don't think they should do it, though it would be nice to see them lock lips again. :D

I wouldn't mind seeing them both on W&G. I'd rather not see them kiss on the show. I'd much rather see them dance around the subject in a clever fashion. Picture this....

Will has a a business relationship with Jake. Grace has a one with Heath. The four happen to run into each other on the way out of a restaurant where the two pairs dined separately. While going thru the customary introductions Heath and Jake are staring at each other.

Heath: "Have we met somewhere?"
Jake: "Maybe. Where you from?"
Heath: "Wyoming. You?"
Jake: "Texas"
Heath: "Oh...never been there. You ever visit Wyoming?"
Jake: "I did once. Had a great time. (Jake winks at Heath)
Heath: "Cool! Listen Grace...sorry I have to rush, but I've got a meeting in
30 minutes on 121st street. Gotta flag a cab!"
Jake: "I'm going that way. Want a lift?"
Heath: "Sure!! Anything to avoid a cab!"

The two say their goodbyes to Will and Grace and head out the door. As they are leaving we hear this final exchange....

Heath: "Thanks again for the lift. If you get me there in one piece
I might have to kiss ya!"

Jake: (sarcastically) "Yeah..like you'd ever forget it!"

Of course, if I had any talent for writing I'd be in Hollywood with a fabulous script that neither actor could refuse. Oh well, it will be interesting to see what actually develops here.

That would be the only way it would work. For them to play other roles and kiss and stuff would kinda ruin BBM I think

I don't get US television here, but it would be nice to see them do your script ! As Jake said when he got his bafta, the film has meant a lot to him and to Heath, and they have become friends. I can't imagine them making fun of the BBM theme. They would add something meaningful to a re-enacted kiss scene, don't you think?

I don't know. There are some things that should be preserved in its pristine state. Personally I would not want to see them kiss again...unless it's to announce they're a couple!

I want them to, and then I dont.. it depends how they would go about doing it, if it degrades the movie and takes away from it then no.. but if its a funny/cute whatever, than I dont mind.. plus they'll kiss so im all for it haha

If they do it wrong, it is going to leave a bitter taste in my mouth!!

IF they do this--I think they have to depart completely from BBM, and maybe say be a cousin of someone already on the show, and come to visit and bring their 'Partner" along. And get introduced as totally new and different characters.

If they incorporate a real storyline, it might be nice, but if they are just going to have Jake and Heath pass through to boost ratings---it could really suck. I too am up in the air and nervous about this thing.
Will and Grace have so much inner cast chemistry, that too many times when they have "special" guest stars---the guests never actually have enough to do and don't really get involved in the plot of the episode enough. Then it turns yechy instead of great.

Do you think this will happen? Or do you think they may want the gay thing to die down, they are busy actors after all. But wouldn't it be sooooooooo cool.

Also the bit about the shirt in the auction...it looks. as someone else said in another post. like we Brokies may have our own ruby slippers. This shows the strength of this film that in only a matter of months those shirts have become iconic symbols. Who'd a thunk it?

I think it would be fun for Jake and Heath to spoof the "gay cowboy" image, though NOT reprising their roles as Jack and Ennis--that would be just plain dumb. But the idea of them playing two other "gay cowboys" would be good. I like the kiss idea, too, and absolutely love the idea on the MTV Awards as "Best Kiss"... OMG! I'm swooning already at the thought!

I vaguely remember Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott's kiss being nominated several years ago, or was it Seann William Scott and Jason Biggs? Oh, well... I'd love to see our boys, Jake and Heath, share a "Best Kiss" award regardless of whether it's MTV or from www.ennisjack.com!

I like your idea Cowboy of playing on the cowboy theme while not showing a real kiss, but maintain a high level of sexual tension. I'm not a big W&G fan, but Heath and Jake could have some fun.
