Brokeback Mountain has been chosen in a list of 22 films to be shown at the NFT (National Film Theatre) as part of it's western season and will be screened on the following dates.
London- NFT:19th,20th,23rd & 24th May 2006.
I still find it a little odd being described as a western.To me a western conjures up images of...

Clint Eastwood draped in a poncho.
And little kids running around playing cowboys and indians trying to scalp next doors cat before it makes a swift exit up the nearest tree!
I guess Brokeback Mountain is difficult to catergorise.It has drama,love and of course cowboys.To me it will never be a western,but regardless of the genre, i am delighted it has been chosen and in 3 weeks time i might even get my scrawny a** off to the NFT to watch it.
