He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

I was just reading Heath's interview from "The Advocate" back in 2006, and came across this - just another little reminder of why I love him so much.

Having played Ennis, on the off chance that your child comes to you with the “Dad, I’m gay” speech, do you think you’re ready to hear it now?

Oh, it wouldn’t have bothered me beforehand. I don’t have a further appreciation for people who are gay; I always have. It’s never been an issue for me. Of course, if my child came to me and said that, I’d love them even more for being honest with me.

Thought I was finally feeling better . . . then in the mail comes the latest edition of The Advocate:

A nice tribute inside titled "So long, partner".
And one titled "An actor who changed gay lives"
This edition, #1003, is not up on their website yet, [Advocate.com] but I imagine it will be shortly.
It's worth looking for at newsstands.

A brief quote from the Editor's page:

It's one of the contradictions of our gay lives now: some of us are millionaires, and some are still on Brokeback Mountain. Through his art, Heath Ledger brought our worlds together. He earned his place in all our hearts.

Thanks Keren, Lindsey and jackster. :)

The Advocate isn't on the stands yet, but I'll be there when it arrives, to be sure.

Yes they do, if you print the pic out it has the UK price there, would at least be in the city stores.

I rang the city bookstore and it should be in within 2 weeks so he is making sure I get a copy by post.
When I told him he said, everyone is going to be after that one.

That's what I'm afraid of... I'll be looking for some extra copies for friends who can't get it in their hometowns.  Since I'll be traveling next week, chances are I could find copies in Montreal & Toronto airports but I guess I'll play safe and go to some newsletter store in the gay Village here, pay in advance and secure some.

Hon, buy me a copy please. Doubt they sell The Advocate around here.

If I could give you a tip... for the ones living in big cities where you could find some gay districts The Advocate is very easy to find in newstands or bookstores in these areas in most countries.

Really good article from The New York Times. The author steps away from making his own opinions and assumptions and lets those that knew Heath speak. I think its one of the most respectful articles out there. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

It is a respectful article for the actor whose name and character. personality and achievements  has embedded in our system.

The last paragraph touches me most ( about  Heaths being a doting father)

Christopher Nolan's tribute to Heath Ledger

http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/01/28/christopher-nolans-tribute-to-heath-ledger/

"Heath was bursting with creativity. It was in his every gesture. He once told me that he liked to wait between jobs until he was creatively hungry. Until he needed it again. He brought that attitude to our set every day. There aren't many actors who can make you feel ashamed of how often you complain about doing the best job in the world. Heath was one of them."

Christopher Nolan calls it Heath Charisma as natural as gravity.

Can't take my eyes off of you Heath.
