I've said it once and I'll repeat - there's no love scene like SNIT, and no kiss like the reunion kiss! It just can't get any sexier! 

The exchange of "messages" between Ennis and Jack in SNIT is so natural, but at the same time unexpected. Especially for the first time of watching it! Each other step made me tremble more and more...

I would think that both of them at this time was pretty much used to drinking.    It was only later that Jack used drink to forget his problems and deep frustrations.    But as far as capacity is concerned, I think they were even.  We shouldn't forget that Ennis also spent a great deal of time in the later years in bars drinking -- he met Cassie in such a situation, in fact.

Yes, I think in terms of making the first move, I can't see Ennis doing it.
