He looked like someone who had a trouble controlling himself. I think that not only that he eagerly wanted to make love to Ennis again, but he seemed very emotional there, which made him look very very sexy. Still he had to hold back coz of Ennis's cold words. Yet, inside of him there was a hope which proved to come true! <^(

As I remember, here I had said that despite being more talkative Jack knew when to hold back and keep silent.  :s)

Now I have a new idea - Jack would've made things easy for Ennis either side. He wouldn't put pressure on Ennis as Ennis had put on him on the mountainside.

I think a cute scene with Jack is when he's taking a nap with the dog while up with the sheep. he looks so gentle and sweet.

Sure, I do agree. In their conversations Jack always pulled back while he was still in the very safe area with Ennis. Never pushed to the risky part of the relationship, that is - until the FC, where he loosened his strings completely.

But on the mountainside scene I feel that Ennis's way of approaching and talking to Jack was a kind of a pressure to Jack. It is possible that Ennis felt his own pressure about the thing that happened between them and wanted to transpose that burden to Jack in a way... :s)

I think I know what you mean about the scene bu the moundtainside.  Ennis seemed to be dictating things at that moment -- giving Jack no choice.

BTW, did I already say that I find Jack's pensive look in that scene so cute and sexy?   ;D

Ennis even didn't look at Jack, but turned his back on him, and his voice was not friendly or pacific at all. I think that Ennis maybe wasn't aware of his attitude. Yes, it was a pressure to Jack, but he dealt with it very good as always.

I think Jack answered the best he could under such circumstances.  Was he devious in his response?  Even if he was, his "hard" far-away look certainly had an appealing element -- enough to melt you and win you over.  :)

To be honest, Jack won me over long before this scene! ;D But, as I once said - in this scene he was also adorable coz during his "defense" from Ennis's cold attitude, he was also anticipating the next night in tent, don't you think? .... ^-^

Not so sure if it had been mentioned before, but Jack's face and demeanor was expecially cute the moment he got off the bull at the rodeo.  He looked like a kid who had won a game -- or a kid who has pulled a prank and expects to get away with it!  :)

I completely agree in that¡ But there're many other scenes IMO where Jack looks like a kid who has got what he wanted¡  (^)

Yesterday I was watching on Youtube Jake's interview for Italian TV. He was talking about Jack and the way he was treated by others... it was a little disturbing for me, have to say.... :(  So, I think that he was like a happy child for every success in his life, hoping for the better treatments and respect from others. In this particulate case, it was a way to become more important in his father's eyes....

Yeah, he was cute, but the reasons are not so cute...

This is perfectly said.  He is so cute and truly beautiful in those moments of vulnerability when we see him like a child putting down his guard/defenses and just being perfectly happy.  Another instance of this is the beginning of the scene where he first meets Ennis after the divorce.  He could not have been any happier -- nor could he have been ever more vulnerable to the hurt that was about to descend upon him...

Yes, there he just slammed from the cloud to the hardest pain. The more cute and sexy he is in those moments, the more it hurts to see him in pain. :\'(

It's rather a mixed bag -- seeing him in those situations.  Remember the parting with Ennis in 63?  I know that LJN loves this scene easpecially and I am not surprised.  He was particularly attractive in this moment of greatest vulnerability.  Not a pleasant scene to watch, but he was quite attractive in it, nonetheless...
