keren_b, thank you.  I am sure we have watched these scenes many many times.  But to see them as stills, especially the above pix, they are surprisingly too much to bear.

I guess it is hard to realize that a single scene actually crystalizes so much feeling.  We thank Twisted for allowing us to see this...

Well said -- so true!  The stills are exquisite...and thank you, Twisted.  Also because you get a shot like just one frame after the frame that is usually focused on, and we get to see these moments...well, I can't say it any better than tpe.  What he said.   ;)

Twisted -- you know the shot right before these, when Ennis turns his head a bit and is looking in Jack's eyes?  That's my favorite.

I like him better with long hair. With short hair something about him reminds me of my Dad. It's unsettling, and probably why I try to stick to the Jake pictures.

Interesting, bram...  You sure don't want him to remind you of your dad!  I like long hair on men, also.  Short-ish is okay; but I don't love shaved that much.

yes! i also like how he put he hands on his legs/knees a few seconds before deciding to go in there in the tent.
seems to be his way of deciding, cause he does the same gesture in the end when deciding to quit his job and going to alma jr.'s wedding.

these are from The Order. I suddenly realized that he's really good in portraying a tornmented soul... both in BBM and in Monster's Ball, and I haven't seen The Order but in these pics he looks like a tormented soul to me... and incredibly beautiful. he has the most soulfull eyes... everything about him is beautiful.
