Those are the infamous dige boots. They were almost a reddish color kind of worn oxblood. Those are the ones that were so scratched and the reason Conan is pointing to them is that Heath told him they were like that because he was attacked by a cat on the way to the studio.

Carbyville, this is the same interview where Heath plays the digeridoo, and he is so good at it! This is also the same interview where Heath talks about the pains of being hounded by the paparazzi, and how he has perfected the art of throwing eggs at them. He actually does this thing where he mimics pulling the eggs out of his pockets and shooting them at the paps.....with sound effects, no less! There's no end to this man's talents.
