Me, too. Except he doesn't put his hand flat on another man's shoulder, I've noticed. This makes it a less committed of an affectionate gesture.

Anyway, I was always shocked to see Heath would wear this funky shirt with a big stain on the front of it. Like it's one of his faves (and I'm sure it was quite nice when new) and he just couldn't be bothered that it got a stain on it. (And my boyfriend Mike would have done the same thing!)

I've been meaning to put these pix together and post this for a while, ever since I saw Ned Kelly. I know they're not exactly the same, but you can see how some pix of Heath as Ned Kelly remind me of my boyfriend Mike (in about 1973). I should have tried the NK pix in B/W also, then it might be even more so similar.

It always trips me out to think how Heath came directly from being Ennis here to Venice to be Casanova -- what a freeing thing, to prance around with flourish, after being pent-up Ennis. (And as a bookend to this: at the same time, Jake went from being Jack to doing Jarhead!)
