Tony, I remember you asked if the other guy in the pic is Heath's dad... I think it is. At least I remember reading that somewhere.

Oh, wow - thanks, Keren! I thought it might be a director or writer, as Heath was friendly with a lot of people. But it did look somewhat like a younger Kim Ledger, and if that's true, that is a family picture that is a treasure. It shows a father-son relationship that may have been a source for Heath's confidence in himself. And also, Heath looked VERY happy in those 2 photos, and it is just good to know he had that family love.
He said he wanted a big table in that tavern in Brooklyn, one that could hold all of his family. I hope the photo holds up as Kim Ledger -and thanks for passing along what you had heard.

Thank you Karen for those pics from Oprah. Heath was so expressive. Such an odd contrast to Ennis. Very intriguing man to say the least. I would have like to have know him. Magnetism? Is that the word I'm looking for? Like some sort of gravitational pull. So few people have that it seems. Mixed with his sweet or should I say humble attitude. My heart is broken.

Yes, I loved it too. And isn't it nice that you can more or less place the photo - he wears that red bracelet so this must have been around the time of Ned Kelly.

Yeah, that red bracelet - and I forgot to mention his stripey scarf!! Or at least, I think its a scarf...well its stripey anyway, whatever it is

And I love this one too - I love the fact he has his camera around his neck...
