The scene where Ennis finds the shirts

I couldn't find the original thread, so...

I got a real good pair of earphones and turned the volume all the way up when he's holding the shirts. I know there is a lot of speculation about what he said, if anything, in particular whether or not he said "I love you"

I had a really good listen and I didn't hear this, but I did hear him say Jack's name at least once, when he's holding the shirt and reaches down for the sleeve and pulls it up, and possibly a second time when he presses them to his face, just before the scene switches to downstairs

 :)

I still wish he'd said "I love you", but never mind...

Even if I suppose that now you have already found it,here you're the link to the old thread: http://www.ennisjack.com/forum/index.php?topic=3367.0.And yes ¡ he says "I love you" because you can see his lips moving and,with a volume that makes shout your neighbours ( >:D ),you can hear it too ¡.It's logical for me that he pronounces this phrase in that very moment; one never knows what one has until it's lost... :-\\

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”
