Topic: A love that will never grow old?

Like many of you here, I am just as angry and shocked that Crash stole the best picture award! I've seen Crash.  It's an OK movie but certainly did not deserve the award or should be nominated in the first place.

I am just as shocked when 3-6 Mafia won for best original song!  The Academy award has gotten worse over  the years. For shame!

Ok, on to the point! Why wasn't "A love that will never grow old" nominated for original song as well?  It was nominated at the Golden Globes and even won the award for it.

Simply because it did not have enough air time to qualify for the Academy

I did notice with the movie that most of the songs hardly had any air time in the film.  These were incredibly beautiful songs too bad they made that decision.

However I discovered 2 very gifted songsters who I have added to my collection: Jackie Greene and Teddy Thompson.  Nice tunes.

Hello everyone, i think the oscar was a horrendous theft for BBM, but all hollywood works in Crash, sure they will vote for that gross movie , but the song "A love than will never grow old" won the oscar of my heart
