Yeah, that Jack Twist, he's got it all figured out, ain't you?
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

pledges Tri Delt at SMU and i sure never thought i'd end up in a pokey little place like childress, but then i met randall at an aggie game, and he was an animal husbandry major, and we been here a month, he got the foreman job over at roy taylor's ranch; like it or not, here i am!
