If you pay attention there are also a lot of plants in the Newsome-Twist house?
There aren't any one in the Del Mar House, and just few littles in the Monroe House.

Somebody may have already mentioned this, but the name of the farm equipment is "Versatile."  Nice touch, don't ya think?  ;)

Now THIS is interesting!  :)

Also, another small detail, when Alma is taking down the laudry at she and Ennis' house, she is taking down the same brown/orange shirt Ennis wore on BBM.

Excellent!

I vaguely recall the presence of plants in the Newsome-Twist house.  But for the life of me, I cannot name a single one at the moment...

What about the mountain pictures in Ennis and Alma's houses? One hideous one in the first cabin, which reappears on the kitchen wall of the Riverton apartment - it's a ghastly pseudo-Mediterranean pseudo-oil thing, the sort you get ( used to get? - haven't been in one for a while) in cheap motels, but they evidently liked it enough to keep it. Then there's a different one on the wall of Monroe's house, seen just as Ennis leaves after his final confrontation with Alma. How odd that she should have in front of her throughout her marriage a reference to the one place where Ennis had found love.

I had read this in a post a few months back: Alma sees a postcard from Jack and she puts the mail down you can see the word Honey on the sale paper and you hear Jack's voice say "Honey have you seen my blue parka?"
I noticed when Ennis gets the deceased postcard you can see the word shovels right underneath it {morbid I know}

And unless I'm crazy {it is entirely possible  ;)} I could swear Ennis has the same coat on at their first camping trip and their last.
“What Jack remembered and craved in a way he could neither help nor understand was the time that distant summer on Brokeback when Ennis had come up behind him and pulled him close, the silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger."

Yes, LJN, it is the very same coat.  I noticed this a long time ago and mentioned it in a thread somewhere. I was wondering why Jack didn't buy Ennis clothes for Christmas or his birthday.

I'd kill for a shot of a grief-stricken Ennis sitting at the Twist table when he came up to Lightning Flat after Jack's death.   :'(

Yeah, I have a feeling that Jack and Ennis would not have given each other birthday and Christmas presents. Unless they happened to be away in the mountains at those times, of course ;) ;D

I'm sure everyone has noticed the thngs in Jack's room in Lightning Flat - a carved cowboy on a horse - was this what he wanted to be? - and a covered wagon - ? a reference to the pioneers who made their way to such remote corners. If his people came west with the high hopes most settlers started out with, there's an ironic contrast between those and what the place has turned out to be - maybe as there is between the young Jack, looking out of the window as Ennis does as soon as he enters the room, and what happened to his dreams.

Yes, welshwitch.  I noticed the covered wagon.

There also seemed to have been something like rocks (?) and boxes (?)  Can't remember exactly.

And of course, there is that famous clock with hands set at 8:45 (8 + 4 + 5 = 17 = ...)

But really enjoying all the lovely details everyone has mentioned. :)  So many layers and layers ...

It was posted in one of the older threads.  I have always loved the double interpretation here:

8:45 => 8 + 4 + 5 = 17 => Ennis's trailer number => the number of letters in 'B R O K E B A C K  M O U N T A I N'

I missed out on a lot of the older threads, being a relative newby.  :)  Thanks so much for filling in the gaps, Thomas!
