Ang Lee wins for Directing!  Awesome!  Awesome! This is huge, huge for BBM!  A great night!  All of us who have believed in this film and participated on this forum....this is so much validation!!  Fingers crossed for Best Actor and Best Picture!!

During his acceptance speech, Ang said he was "out of time" to thank everyone, and "that is what the movie (Brokeback) is about..or did I imagine that he said that? He'll be all polished by the Oscars!

But I still give Walk the Line my props, it sounds like an excellent movie.
The woman onstage (whats her name?) is very charming.

Something to think about...Walk the Line has done well tonight and not up against BBM directly since it is in Musical or Comedy category...the Oscars will be different..this will be the big clash....country musical or romantic tragedy?  BBM needs to win Best Picture - Drama to make this the perfect set up!!

I've not seen Jake...did he not show?
