The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

A bit feverish today due to the change in weather.  But a short time in the forum is always wonderful.

The actor's craft speaks to the heart.  Follow your heart.  :)

Good night!

Uuh, this i like very much :-*

I'll say!  Whew -- he's got everything going on here: the eyes, the fuzz, gorgeous shape of face, the lips, the black and white, the hair...especially the bedroom eyes.

Here's little more :)

Love this very much.  He is a work of art, to be sure.

Thank you Twisted, as always.

Tom, he certainly is a work of art.  Isn't it funny, how some people are just very perfect artistic specimens of manhood or womanhood?  Okay, so first, that is what was given to him.  But he is so much more than just that -- it's what he does with his gifts.  (He could be a jerk and he would simply not be as beautiful because beauty doesn't come through jerk-ness.)

I never tire of seeing this pic from the BBM series...

Me, too -- especially any pics of either of them and especially both together, from the BBM series.  I like to imagine they're fresh from the tent...  (I know, not reality -- just let me have my fantasy.)

I love this most especially in black and whilte.  Some find him a bit too emaciated here.  But to me, he is ever more delicate and sensitive.  The eyes are like those of a desert monastic -- fiery after fasting.  ;)

Yes, I can certainly see that, and appreciate it, also.  The delicate and sensitive monastic -- I love that.  Who says he's emaciated by the way?  I mean, was there a period when you or others felt he looked emaciated?  I just think when he was younger he was "too thin" for my personal tastes (Heath, too).  I just like a bit more flesh on the bone, but that doesn't mean they aren't also beautiful younger and thinner...

Tom, I'm following you. :)

I never especially loved pearl gray or any other gray -- not enough to even bother commenting on it -- until seeing Jake in it...  I think I'm getting a bit of an education through this man about what is the best a suit can look!

Is there an Adam's Apple thread?  I notice it all the time of course.  His is unique, and always noticeable.  Just the sharp point there...
