The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

NO MORE PICTURES OF JAKE KISSING OR ALMOST KISSING WOMEN!!!!!!

it ruins my fantasies, i want to remember him as Jack "I ride more than bulls, not rolling my own. I love men, and I'm sexy" Twist  ;)

Oh FulOfSadness, you are a riot.  :)

Personally, I love him as Jack kissing Ennis or as Sam kissing Laura.  He is lovely in both.

Would you post a pic of him as Hal?  I have to admit I didn't see Proof (except, I think, some shots of bedroom scenes with Gwynyth, do I have that right?).  All the latest pictures are just showing up with the little X in the corner for me tonight, so if you did post a pic of Hal, I haven't seen it tonight.

Thanks -- I'd love to study Hal and see where he falls on the Boy-to-Man scale.  :*(

kathy

I posted one pic of Hal further down the line.  I hopw you got to see it.  :)

I like this one the best, the closest to sepia.  I think my Photoshop doesn't really have a perfect sepia, either.  (Nor does my camera -- I'm jealous :)

Anyway, I love the little tiny pinky ring.  And just the cute flirty pose.

kathy

frances I believe posted a nice article once about his 3 (pinky?) rings.  I love his sense of style and in the choice of engravings in two of them.

A little Hal..

Ah, Tom, here is Hal.  I'll have to see more though.

kathy

I'll assist you a bit in this.  I love Hal.  :)

Is this pic reversed?

I dunno, I think so, but the more I think about it the more I like this Jake, I know he's supposed to be 17 but he is sexier in DAT than many of his other films, yes even as Jack T.

let the scolding begin...

Honestly, I do think Jake in this picture is very attractive.  There is a manliness in the above pic that belies Sam's relative youth -- which is much more apparent in the other scenes in TDAT (for example, the "milk and cookies" scene).

Love this one, although he would appear too boyish for some.  Thanks again, greenfrog.  :)
