Twisted, between you and greenfrog, you are making my first day back here very enjoyable indeed!
I've got ogling down to a fine art! ;D

Thank you Rosie. :) But all Jake pictures are great and wonderful  :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

A bit unusual or different -- I like this.  And it sure looks like he's got big feet...  I knew Heath has big feet, but I don't know Jake's shoe size, shame on me.  Actually, I know none of his vital statistics except his height.  His weight seems to go up and down, depending on level of built-up-ness.

kathy

Yes.  I don't know whether this fluctuation in physical build is good for someone this young...

I was just being silly, razzing you for not having the hots for Jake like so many of us do.  You are so right, though, and you say it so well, what it is that makes him such a beautiful person/handsome man.  All those fascinating things that he is as a person, certainly do come to play in everything about how he presents his looks.

Both of them, extraordinary young men, yes?  To have come together for this BBM creation...kismet.

kathy

Indeed, both of them are one of a kind.  And yes, it is fate that brought them together -- else, it is the wisdom of Ang Lee.  :)

LOL!  No, he isn't that Hollywood bad boy -- he can just look like that if he wants to.  And he can act up and be a goofy guy when he's drunk, etc.  But no, he's not out to give the establishment the finger or whatever motivates some of the other people that supposedly scorn all the B.S. but yet are perpetrating their own form of B.S.  That is not him.

kathy

Yes, being a bad boy is certainly not like him.  I know people can change -- and it takes just one false move (remember Hugh Grant?)  But I hope he does not change.  He is too well brought up.  He is perfect as is.  :)

I still think this picture's funny. I don't know why, but I do.

 :8  :8  :8

I think it's because it is not your typical Jake look.  It's a bit more on the purely physical, and he clearly doesn't know what to do with himself. ;)

It's an attempt of a Jake beefcake shot that doesn't work out for some folks...

Too young, that's why -- hadn't grown into himself yet.  Though there may have been other shots from this shoot that captured him more naturally, yes?

kathy

Yes.  :)

There is something about men who love to cook that appeals to me.  It shows an appreciation of the finer things in life, no?

As to baking, it's more of the chemistry, I suspect, that he has trouble with.  ;)

It's the finer things in life...and cooking is also something you generally do for other people -- to please on a very sensual level, to nurture, to entertain, to serve.  Those are wonderful things.  (Unless he's one of the Type A Iron Chef kind of guys...but I don't get that idea.  More like an Emeril than Iron Chef.)

kathy

Cooking/eating is a sensual art.  It glorifies the transient...  In many ways, it is a greater art than sex.  :)

Right at first I thought that's a violin bow.  And then I'm like, oh -- be still my heart...  That would be too much for me, if he also played some beautiful instrument like that.  I think I'd just go ahead and faint whether I needed to or not.

kathy

I feel exactly this way with the superb and beautiful Joshua Bell.  :)

i know what your talking about this is usually the last thread i look at before closing up for the night...sometimes it's hard to pull myself away!

Indeed, I should have the sense to make this the LAST thread I respond to.  ;)
