His eyes look little greenish.. But beautiful he is like always.. <^(
I love his blue eyes the best, but I wouldn't kick him with green eyes out of bed.  That was unseemly, for a woman my age, but I'm not going to take it back.

tpe, I love green eyes, too -- I think because most unusual.  Actually, green eyes go very nicely with his coloring, but blue are just so stunning, and draw you in even more.

I saw a thing once on Discovery or PBS about the human animal, and how much of what we are and do has to do with "mating."  Blue eyes supposedly are a signal of honesty in a person, because you can really see the person's feelings in them.  Or something like that.  As opposed to very dark eyes that can sometimes be unreadable.

Boy, eyes are sure a curious and awesome thing.  How is it that eyes can SAY so much?  That they really are the windows of the soul?

kathy

I think it's because the eyes are sesitive to changes in feelings, no?  Eye dilation is part of lie "detection" tests, and we typically can read a person't emotions and moods by the look of his/her eyes.  The eyes move rapidly when one is in a state of dreams.  When we die, we pray that someone is there to close our eyes...

Saints Sergius and Bacchus come to life!

Wow!!  Uncanny.

kathy

They are sort of gay icons now, you know...  ;)

sorry, but is there any pix you don't appreciate?  Have we ever heard you say you don't care for a certain pic of Jake?  Try to find one for us, if you can.

kathy

Is it possible not to love Jake?  ;)

Soft green.

My favorite.  If I had to pick a favorite.  Not specifically this picture, I mean, but this coloring on him, of him.

kathy

The muted shades of green go well with his complexion...

I love this picture.

His stance, his eyes . . .  <^(

Not to mention the beautiful white triangle of the shirt that frames the bottom of his face...

Calendar Jake:

I haven't looked at this yet, and I don't think I would "allow" myself to buy it.  (Trying to pretend I'm not a Gyllenhaalic.)  Any excellent pics in it that we haven't seen?

kathy

I don't know.  But I love the front cover pic.  :)

De Trinitatis:

You're a little over the top there for me :)  Who are the folks in the second picture anyway?  Not the trinity as in the father, son and holy ghost are they?  Or some other trinity?  If it's the father, son and holy ghost, who is the son and who is the holy ghost?  (Sorry, hope no one offended I am taking the trinity lightly or even irreverently at the moment.)

kathy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Trinity_Icon

It is a reference to the biblical passage where 3 persons announce to Abraham that his wife is with Child.  Christians have connected the three with the Trinity.  :)

Thank you.  :)

I wasn't sure at first if I like the hair, but I do.  Thought it a bit too short on the sides, but he does really look good with close-cropped hair.

kathy

But the top is like a string of ascending waves.  :)

He looks rather sheepish.  <^(

Yes, and I love it when he's sheepish -- it's in a very boyish and charming way.  :)

Good night :ghug:

I find this one quite sexy.

Perhaps because he's slightly wet...

More popcorn.  :)

Great picture  <^(

I love the brightness of the background.  The golds go well with his complexion.  And the look is priceless...

He is so cute in this series. She is cute, too, except the dress is rather horrid.

kathy

The hunch is rather cute.  But is is making the suit look ill-fitting?

OMG, why do I love this one so much??

Funny how we each have our different favorites.

kathy

Because everything about the face is so expressive, and yet gentle and not forbidding...

O M G ! !
Okay, I've gotten up now.  So, I love it all -- love the jeans.  Love that particular white knit top.  I love men who wear nice tops like that.  Love that one sleeve is up.  Love the ring.  Love the hair, and his face of course, and last but not least, the hollow at the base of his throat.

kathy

What is it about the little hollow that we find so attractive.  I recall a poet (Persian, I think) singing the praises of this particular feature...

I just took these. They are from the Oprah show.

I so agree -- but then, this also is when I first started to know them as people, around this time, so I am particularly fond and think they are at a beautiful best around this time, post-BBM time.

kathy

It is amazing to see Jake's look mature in the last year.  He was stunning before this, and unbelievable after.  :)

Is there words of that song?

Good evening everyone :ghug:

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

I love this.. :) <^(
Is this a common gesture that he does when he is nervous?
Why?  Have you noticed it a lot?  I think I've only noticed it a couple times, now that you mention it.  He probably caught it from Heath.

kathy

That's a lovely possibility.  :)
