And serious...

This thread sure does get the heart racing! I LOVE this one! <^(

Thanks for all of the pics and licks. O0

The heart races and mind is befuddled by so much beauty...

This is Jake as I love him the most.  A moment of repose.  (Even with a dozen people with cameras on him.)

kathy

Precisely.  His look of repose robs me of repose.

I love that necklace of his... and him too ;)

I love that he wears this, too.  Some delicate stone (?) and it must be meaningful to him.

kathy

It looks like one of those necklaces actors wear to support worthy causes.

Must have been a tough question thrown at Heath!  :)

Oprah said, Let's talk about the kiss.. :)

Interesting!  So what was Jake doing here?  Seriously wondering how Heath was going to answer?

kathy

I think he was leaving to Heath to talk about it.  His look is so serious -- and perhaps nervous!

No words.. <^(

...and his mature soulfulness unsurpassed...

Thomas -- your beautiful words and perceptions.  This and the one before ("boyish beauty unrivalled") are a wonderful study for that flux between boy hottie and handsome gentleman.

And Twisted, your pix, needless to say.

kathy

Thank kathy.  It is bewitching: how he straddles both...

I love this one, and hadn't seen it before.  I love when he's captured in movement -- walking or whatever.

kathy

It looks like he is acknowledging someone from the crowd -- and the look is conspiratorial...

Each one has its own unique charcter/beauty.  Some are quite zany.  All are lovely...

Yes, this is quite fun.  And I love a guy who does zany.

kathy

I must say that I love the "J" photo very much.  :)

The reflection is slightly larger -- it's like his soul, his higher self, if you will.

And I can't help noticing that thigh...

(From the sacred to the profane.  That's what he does to me.)

kathy

INdeed, Jake's beauty is both spiritual and physical.  He embodies the Greek ideal...

and except for you | nothing | denotates | its sweet-scented dynamite (Cocteau)

Sweet scented dynamite!  Odd juxtaposed words, and just perfect for him.

kathy

Cocteau also meant it to be vaguely erotic.  ;)

I like this look, also, because he looks a little rough around the edges.  Sometimes he is more polished, other times more rough.

kathy

Yes, it is the roughness underneath the polish and the elegance beneath that roughness..

Do we know a time-frame yet?  LA would be absolutely cool!

kathy

Jennis would certainly know this.  Else I can ask around.  :)

Good night Thomas. :)

You will get your daily Jake's ;)
OT: Reminds me of a line in Heath's Casanova.  (Not verbatim.)  The priest comes into the room of the nun where Casanova just left, where he finds Casanova's shoe left behind, and he rails at the young woman about "You would suffer eternal damnation for one night with that rake?" or some such.  And she says, sotto voce, "Yeah, fair trade."

kathy

Yes, I loved that exchange in Casanova.  It holds true for the love of Jake.  :)

More Oprah Pix ;)

His look in Oprah is quite near to the "perfect" Jake look, no?

In my humble opinion, YES!!

kathy

Your humble, but CORRECT opinion.  ;)

So true.  It is such a difficult life.  To do this beautiful life-thing, acting, yet have to put up with the other part of it.  He's had a number of years now to settle into some emotional balance about it all, I should think.  But the public-media part of his art and craft must get just so tiresome.  Though he hasn't had reason to scorn the media yet, it seems, and is not a hermit.  But how long can it last?  Maybe he'll get to be so respected as he gets older that people might leave him alone, while the new young next things come into the picture and take their attention away.

Very well said, kathy.  He is certainly not a hermit, but I love the way he goes back and forth between his private life and public life.  He keeps things quiet when very personal things are concerned.  That's class.

This one is kind of odd.  I don't think I've seen it, only the other one.  Odd perhaps, but still beautiful Jake.

kathy

The funny thing is that I love his reflection here slightly better.  The angle is better and more flattering behind the mirror.  ;)

Good morning :ghug:

It snowed yesterday in Chicago -- the earliest on record.  To spend winter with him is not to have winter at all...

Yes, the early snows.  We just had rain, but the first in months, temp in high 60's.  So, you guys can all share him in the snow, and I'll have him in the rain all to myself.

kathy

Snow or rain, the end result on Jake is the same: wet.  :)

My favorite...  (Yeah, right, as if I have a favorite.  How could one have only one favorite of a man with such a range?  But he's not really like a chameleon, because he is always fully recognizable Jake.  Just that he has so many looks, and it's not just his clothes.  Or maybe it is.  Clothes, hair, background, lighting.  I'm over-analyzing and didn't mean to.  All I meant was, what a beautiful man.

kathy

I don't think you were over-analyzing.  Beauty this rich has a lot of wonderful effects.

It is useless to resist him...

Their lips and eyes the same color :)

Looks like they would have had fun together.  Too bad then...

kathy

She is foolish to drop him.

Look at the two women in the back.  The one in pink is clutching her pearls, just looking at the back of Jake.  The blonde one is staring daggers at Kirsten.

kathy

I love your observations here, kathy.  They made me smile!

She will live to regret her error.

Love the shorter hair.  Funny, though -- looks like the woman beside him is talking to him, but he's staring off in the distance, lost in some daydream...

kathy

I knew you would notice the sliver of mouth!  :)

Jake, Jake, Jake...just perfect.  But I don't want to neglect to say that Robert is not bad at all, either.  Also an interesting, good looking man.  But Jake is magic.  At least I think so.  At least it seems all of us here think so.

kathy

He looks very Jackish in this picture.

One eye is smaller than the other -- a wonderful asymmetry.  Quite beautiful.
