Those eyes... <^(
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Yes, I liked it a lot - Some feelings I had when watching BBM came back when I heard his voice at the beginning of the movie, but this time I clearly could make the difference between 'real live' and the movie, so could judge acting and film in a rational way -> Although I'm not a fan of 'war movies' I liked it a lot.

I'm a terrible lurker, drooling all over the place and rarely posting. So here's a favourite, his expression so vintage Jake. Like, "Hey, you wanna go?" HELL YAH!!

Ooh Em, I have to agree with you there. It's my FAVOURITE and now that I've finally learnt how to post pictures (thanks to my very patient son.... well.... lets put it this way, he wanted his bed made, his clothes washed and his suppers cooked...not that I'm usually into blackmail you understand...  ;D)  I've got it right by my name on the left. &**)

I just love the cardigan as well, looks so comfortable, soft and warm.

Fellow Jakeys:  Sunday night...and here I am again like ten pages behind.  But I might spend the rest of this evening catching up.  So many riches!  Great new pix here lately.

I ADORE this one -- in many pix of that night, when they were together at the podium, we see Jake grinning proudly, it would appear, as Heath talks.  But here it's the opposite.  It's so charming.  I'm not pretending any "RPS" here, but it reminds me of the scene in the the little hallway/doorway with Alma, when Jack says about his little boy, and Ennis looks at Alma, with this expression of, as some have said, "Isn't he just great??"  So cute!

Oh he's so cute here!  So's she.  And especially at a cool dog event.  What a guy.

Simply Jake <^(

Exactly.  I couldn't have said it better.  He couldn't be Jake better.  (Well, he can -- he is always simply perfect Jake...)

Kathy, go to the characters, quotes and scenes board. There's an Ennis and Jack picture thread there.

Don't tell me that!  After all this time, I have yet another pix thread to keep up on??  Oh boy.

H*ll, i love them all, but see, two so different looking pics, and both pics got's my heart ache..

Know just what you mean.  We all do, I think.  We can love the myriad different Jakes.  For a man with such distinct features (as opposed to a chameleon type person) Jake certainly has a thousand different looks.  And there will only be more, and they will only be better.
