The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

I have to say my thing about Jake's eyebrows.  First pic, I don't care for such shaped eyebrows.  Second pic (and most pics) are his natural brows.

They were respectful of each other's opinions, each glad to have a companion where none had been expected.

I agree with you Kathy. The second picture looks much better.

Stunningly beautiful. Those eyes..... <^(He is to die for... <^(

I love this look -- muted coloring, soft on the eyes, warmth to the heart...

I thought of a pic like this when Ennis thought about Jacks way with the ladies in two crows joy today  ;D

I can see that.  But I think his way with the ladies would be a little more courtly, a little less the bad boy.

I love his hair blondish. So sexy, so handsome, so dazzling.. So everything <^(

Me, too -- a lot.  I wondered if it was just lighting or photo-manipulation.  But he did blond-ish for a while?  Very nice.

Uh oh, I'm in trouble -- this is my man.  The jeans and white shirt (in disarray), the attitude, the Jake beauty.

What is it with Jake showing his boxers off all the time?  Not that I'm complaining, oh no not at all, but I am intrigued.  ;)

You know, if some other guy did this, I might say, oh please, gimme a break, you're being just dootsy.  But for whatever reasons, I am very tolerant (to say the least) of Jake's "sex kitten" behavior, of which showing underwear is one.  I also find women showing off too much bosom or whatever else tiresome...but Jake can show his underwear anytime as far as I'm concerned.  Double standards here.

Just by whatever stroke of fate and genes he was born with blue eyes.  He'd be a very handsome man with brown eyes, no doubt about it...but jeez, the blue eyes -- a gift from the universe to him, and then to us who get to look upon them.  (Oh to be able to look into them in person!)
