There is something very stricking about this picture.

I'm not sure what though  :s)

It's Jake: his beauty; his art.

Clearly, beauty is something detected at a first glance, something that the soul... recognizes, gives welcome to, and, in a way, fuses with...  an astonishment, a delicious wonderment...  (Plotinus)

Friends, good night!  :)

Am I just a pervert or does look say "sex"?  ;)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Ya know, I still sometimes have trouble processing that the Jake from back then is the Jake we see now. I used to think he was the dorkiest guy. I liked him but never found him attractive. I had so much trouble picturing him as Jack Twist because all I could think of at the time was Bubble Boy. Then one day, there was sexy Jake and I had to do a double take because I was just stunned. One of those "Wait a cotton picking minute!" kind of situations.

I'm glad I hadn't seen him, or Heath, in anything before BBM.  No, I take that back -- I'd seen Heath in Monster's Ball.  So, I got the full force of Jake's sexiness from those first shots of him...

Jake with blue shirt, who can resist?

I'm seeing more than just a blue shirt.  Like all-over perfectness, every inch.

His hair looks like fire  8)

What a good way to put it.  When his hair is all wild spiked out, it is like flames, like his spirit can't be contained and sparks out his head.

Okay, lets.  And everything else, too -- the bit of mystery in the pose, the chest hair...
