This is a wonderful pic.  He is both youthful and soulful in this pic.

The more mature photos have less angst, but they can be just as soulful...

Hmm...Jake and youth and soul and angst.  That youthful angst is indeed appealing; and the non-angst more mature is indeed appealing, too.  And as you say, soulful both ways.

They were respectful of each other's opinions, each glad to have a companion where none had been expected.

Love his look in TDAT pix!

Time for a break.  ;)

Me, too, TDAT = beautiful.  I have to say I rather am liking his shaped brows here, though I usually say I prefer them left alone.  And I like his interesting shirt, with double button tab thing -- he wears interestingly different white shirts often.

Me neither!  I love this one, cos I love how close he and Maggie are, and they are so obvious with their affection of each other, I think it is so lovely to see.

I love them...but I think it's a touch odd, how physical they are with each other.  But then, we weren't physically affectionate like this in my family.  But anyway, I always think of how she's older sister to his baby brother, and I see that a lot, in how she is the one holding him.  She's probably adored him all his life.  Maybe.  Maybe they fought like cats and dogs.  Maybe they came to respect and really like each other only when a bit older.

I can see your point in a way. I am the oldest of 4 kids and if I thought about this is terms of me and my sister Brittany, I'd be like "That's weird" I have another sister, Miranda and a little brother Cory, who I am way closer to than Brittany and if I thought about it in terms of them, it wouldn't be as odd because of how close I am with Cory and Miranda as opposed to Brittany.

And since that was way OT.. here's some Jake. I love him in this brown suit

Good morning :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Ya know, I normally don't like him with that much facial hair, but this is quite nice.
