The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Hello Twisted.  ^f^   I haven't seen that one before. :)  (The bars one)
Danny and me, Danny and me,  Danny and me and the sea,
Bobbing out of Pleasure Bay, the islands on our lee;
Spectacle, Georges, Gallops, the sun-wash on the brine
Castle Island where Skovo danced a bear-dance in bear-time.
The Golden Boy has chosen, I know what I will be
Danny and me, seanchai, Danny and me and the sea.

Compare Jake's torso and arm in this pic and the kneeling neophyte in Masaccio's painting:

I do love these, Thomas.  And I do see it, the comparison.
This is kind of like a star on Hollywood Boulevard, but you're trying to get Jake on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel!

Twisted, another one for you.  :)

Oh yes, this one too!  I love his look with this short hair, and this pic well suited to a drawing.  (And the eyelashes!)

Always one of my favorites!  I adore this little dance going on here.  Something sweetly funny between them right then...

His hair can be quite quirky at times, especially in his younger days.  An example:

I love, love his quirky hair!  (And look at that beautiful HATBOHT, Thomas.)

Yes, he has eyeliner on. It's not the only pic where you can see that  ;)

I have seen that in some pics, the eyeliner.  I happen to love when men wear eye makeup, if it's subtle.
