Greenfrog -- thanks for this series!  Kind of interesting -- seems he looks more similar to how he looks now in these, than he looked in the years following this age.  Probably the awkwardness/changes of adolescence.

Almost uncanny -- in this, he looks like Jack in the room with Lureen and the baby.

This one makes me think of BBM  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(

Exactly.  When Jack's looking up at Ennis up on the hill.

Not quite caught up with you tonight/this morning, Greenfrog...but I must say goodnight.  Thanks so  much for pix.  That series (escuse my ignorance, but what movie is it?) is amazing.   :^^)

The movie is October Sky. I also wanted to agree with you saying so many of these pictures look like Jack. They really do, it's like seeing what Jack looked like as a kid, almost. Funny how Jack/Jake are the same guy but we can refer to them as two separate entities.  ;D

I think it looks narcissistic to the viewer, but we are the ones seeing him seeming to look into his reflection -- I think he wasn't seeing his reflection in this series.  Am I explaining that right?

BTW, were you gone for the holiday w'end?  I missed you!

kathy

OT: Had guests during the Holiday weekend.  :)

And yes, I think you explained it well!

So agree.  This is quite beautiful, in between soft and sharp -- yes, perfect.  The lighting people with the photographers probably do enjoy lighting him.

kathy

It's an art: one can ruin beauty by the wrong kind of light -- the same way a painting looks bad when lighted improperly...

I really love Jake in B/W, a beautiful strength; but I totally fall for him when he's earth-toned.  I love the one on the right unreasonably.  ::)

kathy

I feel the same way, especially about the jarhead premiere pix:

Ha!  I am not sure, and  neither are you.  In fact, I've been having such intriguing dreams lately, with lots of people in them, and remembering them, too.  It may not be too far-fetched to think that this being so during the past year has something to do with BBM.  As opposed to my old common dreams of losing something and fruitlessly trying to find it, etc.  Hmm...

kathy

If death were a dream, it may not be that bad -- depending on the dream, of course!  I mean, like this:

Ah, yes...  Certainly I notice the neck, Thomas.  But you forgot the lips, the lips, oh...  With the blue of his eyes, the pink of his lips is just amazing.

kathy

His eyes can be so mesmerizing.  It is as if he dreams with his eyes side open:

Thomas, Jake is definitely our dream guy.  <^(

His eyes look amazing in this.

Oh!  What is it?!  Doesn't matter what it is...I love it.  And, I like him in a v-neck -- a nice frame for his neck and face (especially that neck, yes, Thomas).

kathy

I am glad that you mentioned his neck.  ;)

Sometimes I have to put pix side-by-side.  Facets of Jake.

It's a good way of comparing/contrasting the pix.  :)

As you know, he is just as beautiful lying down as he is standing up.  ;)
