This looks like a very glamorous mug shot!

That's wonderful, an event dedicated to Robert...  RIP...

Thanks, kathy.  I didn't look at it that way, but I guess you're right...  Another "mug shot":

OMG!!

That serious look, and he has a cigarette in his hands... mmmm <^( :d)
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

If death were a dream, it may not be that bad -- depending on the dream, of course!  I mean, like this:

Oh yes.. I would die a happy woman <^(

This pic is amazing..

There's that suit I love!  <^( <^(

Me, too -- my favorite.  The soft nature color suits him.

The movie is October Sky. I also wanted to agree with you saying so many of these pictures look like Jack. They really do, it's like seeing what Jack looked like as a kid, almost. Funny how Jack/Jake are the same guy but we can refer to them as two separate entities.  ;D

Thanks re movie.  It is uncanny, young Jake in this role looking like young Jack.  That's a nice thought, to picture what Jack would have looked like a few years before we saw him.

Here's another real beautiful one Thomas. His colouring in this, is to die for.  <^(

Very beautiful, very.  Not only the coloring, but the expression, the mood.  And also, you can see a lot of asymmetry in this face.  I don't know why they say symmetry is the desirable perfection, when the asymmetry is what gives Jake's face such interest and mobility even when still.  But we've had this discussion before, about how in some cultures, such as the Japanese, they value the asymmetric, the mar and the flaw, the irregular mark across an otherwise empty field.  Not to get too artistic -- I just love all of Jake's asymmetries!

As you know, he is just as beautiful lying down as he is standing up.  ;)

Oh, I've always loved this pic.  (And Heath is sitting separately off to the side -- hmm...)  I love, love how Jake looks here, and I love how Ang looks here.
