Classicism
« Reply #17580 on: Jan 02, 2007, 07:34 PM »

The formal classicism of the acanthus background becomes him.  Is he a classic beauty?   Perhaps not, in the mundane sense.  But he embodies the spirit of it -- in symmetry and in grace.

Friends, good night!  :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

You know, I said to Heath, who is not here, I'm speaking on both of us behalf's, but I said to him, after we finished the scene you just saw, if we don't win the mtv movie award for the best kiss, then it wasn't worth it. It's worth it now!! Yeah, it's definitely worth it. In all seriousness, I have to say, that this is a real honour, not just for me and Heath, but all of you, that you picked this movie and this kiss over all the other ones. It's a Big deal. It's a big deal!! Thank you, not just for me, but all those people struggling with love, which is all of us. Thanks.! Jake Gyllenhaal
