The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

“What Jack remembered and craved in a way he could neither help nor understand was the time that distant summer on Brokeback when Ennis had come up behind him and pulled him close, the silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger."

This is quite a different look.  Can't quite describe it, except a subdued look that doesn't show much of his usual Jake-ness.

Hey, I am 32!! pages behind!  I was caught up before I went away for Christmas.  Well, things are back to "normal" more or less, so I can start spending more time here...  I have missed sharing Jake with all of you.

With his Mrs. Robinson:

Why do you say his Mrs. Robinson?  She's not that much older than he is.  Now I think of it, I guess I have to see the movie, huh?

OMG.  Briefs and all.  Partly it's the effects used on the photo...but this is so incredibly intriguing, this particular Jake...  "Intriguing" hardly says it, but will suffice for in polite company.   :*(

There is something vaguely erotic about the the bottom picture, no?

Ah, Thomas, your mind is a bit overheated this morning...

Holding the golden sticky honey firmly in his  hand and letting it flow down onto his food unheeded...

Christie, I am discomfited that you see right through me.

Here's eroticism times two:

I'll say.  They're erotic just doing nothing, just standing together.  But I like how they're both fiddling in their pockets...

Whew! I'm back. How have I survivied without looking at this face everyday?    (:)  ;D

Mind you, the darling hubby actually bought me a Jake Gyllenhaal calendar!!!!!  (Can you believe it? I did have the grace to be embarassed!  Although not embarrassed enough to reject the present!  ;)) So I've had twelve pictures to look at.  None as nice as this though.. <^(    Has he ever looked more heavenly?

Danny and me, Danny and me,  Danny and me and the sea,
Bobbing out of Pleasure Bay, the islands on our lee;
Spectacle, Georges, Gallops, the sun-wash on the brine
Castle Island where Skovo danced a bear-dance in bear-time.
The Golden Boy has chosen, I know what I will be
Danny and me, seanchai, Danny and me and the sea.

I just can't get enough of these drawings. This is so beautiful :)
