Whew! I'm back. How have I survivied without looking at this face everyday?    (:)  ;D

Mind you, the darling hubby actually bought me a Jake Gyllenhaal calendar!!!!!  (Can you believe it? I did have the grace to be embarassed!  Although not embarrassed enough to reject the present!  ;)) So I've had twelve pictures to look at.  None as nice as this though.. <^(    Has he ever looked more heavenly?

He looks so gorgeous!! I would like to have Jake calendar too. Maybe I will go and buy one :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Why do you say his Mrs. Robinson?  She's not that much older than he is.  Now I think of it, I guess I have to see the movie, huh?

kathy

Yes.  :)  Actually, she said this in an iterview (with People, I think): that she wants to be considered Jake's cinematic equivalent of Mrs Robinson, because of The Good Girl.

I don't know this word, ephebe, Thomas.

That period of early manhood beloved by the Greeks: before the down appears on a young man's face...

Holding the golden sticky honey firmly in his  hand and letting it flow down onto his food unheeded...

kathy

You make this sound absolutely mouth-watering...

I'll say.  They're erotic just doing nothing, just standing together.  But I like how they're both fiddling in their pockets...

kathy

Here they are again doing nothing:  ;)

I can see why Rosie.....does this man have no shame?

It seems not, which is good for us.  ;)

I can't see it.  :(

Oh what a terrible fate it is to be blind in the face of such beauty. It is a fate much much worse than that of the eunuch in Voltaire's Candide, when he said: "O che sciagůra d'essere senza coglioni!"

Thomas, Yes. Sometimes he is an angel..... I got the middle one. But now I WANT THE OTHER TWO!!!!!   Especially the first one......    >:D   I'll have to look on the internet.  I think that I may push his patience too far if I give them to him though!!!!!!!!! :8  They will be MINE. ^^)
Danny and me, Danny and me,  Danny and me and the sea,
Bobbing out of Pleasure Bay, the islands on our lee;
Spectacle, Georges, Gallops, the sun-wash on the brine
Castle Island where Skovo danced a bear-dance in bear-time.
The Golden Boy has chosen, I know what I will be
Danny and me, seanchai, Danny and me and the sea.
