Just because I love this pic so much.. And him.

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Rosie, thanks.  I should ask Twisted which hosting site she uses so that I get to see all the pix she posts...

And welcome back.

Did I ever tell you that I like Mr. Gyllenhaal?

I would never have guessed Thomas..... :8

Danny and me, Danny and me,  Danny and me and the sea,
Bobbing out of Pleasure Bay, the islands on our lee;
Spectacle, Georges, Gallops, the sun-wash on the brine
Castle Island where Skovo danced a bear-dance in bear-time.
The Golden Boy has chosen, I know what I will be
Danny and me, seanchai, Danny and me and the sea.

I can't see it.  :(

Oh what a terrible fate it is to be blind in the face of such beauty. It is a fate much much worse than that of the eunuch in Voltaire's Candide, when he said: "O che sciagůra d'essere senza coglioni!"

Being stupid, I'm afraid I don't know that quote, but I sure want to.  >:D  What is it in English? Please tell.... :)

Thomas, Yes. Sometimes he is an angel..... I got the middle one. But now I WANT THE OTHER TWO!!!!!   Especially the first one......    >:D   I'll have to look on the internet.  I think that I may push his patience too far if I give them to him though!!!!!!!!! :8  They will be MINE. ^^)

You read my mind exactly, Rosie.  There are 3, so you need one more fortunate recipient: one of the kids, perhaps?  Make sure that you can get it back! ;)
