The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

This is the picture, what Kathy posted :)

It looks like a figure from a well-known painting (impressionist/pointillist?).  But I can't recall it just now...

You have to watch this!!!!

OK, can't believe I never watched this before.  It literally made me feel faint.  What is it about this man--he's 7 years younger than I am yet turns me into a lust-puddle!  I could hardly stand to watch when he was running his hands through his hair and looking soulfully off to one side . . . melt.  Thanks for the link; know I'll watch it often.  :)

I could wring that man's neck out of pure spite and envy.  ;)

Oh god that pic.....how sexy does he look?  Thomas, I know how you feel about that man. Me too.

And the one straight after this, when he lifts his arms up.....makes me drool.

Hi shieldmaid!  :h)  I just knew you would love this.  ;)   Isn't it the sexiest thing ever?  Oh that running-his-hands-through-his-hair bit was just to die for.....well, the whole video is to die for.
