The Jarhead look has great definition, no? The eyes domiantye even more...
The Zodiac look is equally beautiful...

Yes, Thomas, certainly in that pic, the Jarhead look, his eyes are amazing. All of his features stand out with no distraction, with the shaved head.
Ah, but the Zodiac look, I quite like. He looks like...I don't know -- maybe I really like it because that was my era when I was his age? I like it because it's something like no-nonsense. They could have played it more disco-era; but that was talked about in that end-piece in the latest version of the book, how Fincher was so exacting about the look of the time. The disco thing was going on, and in part of the 70's men actually often looked ridiculous (as ridiculous as the women) as far as clothes. And hair, too, the men, rather goofy -- longer and covering the ears, etc. So, obviously, Robt. Graysmith was not a disco guy. Good. It looks less dated this way. Well, it does look dated, but not a particular trend-time.
Whoops, this isn't the Zodiac thread. Anyway, why do I love Jake's look here? Just because. He looks exactly like himself, but more plain, less polished, and also less 2000's-hip-scruffy.
