The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

I loved when he kind of says, "Well I thought I made it clear, last time I was there...I brought you flowers...took off my shirt..." I died during that part of the call. Plus he kind of sounds a little sleepy. Shivers down my spine. And just to keep this on topic:

Aww any excuse to re-live that gorgeous interview and the sexy birthday call.  I loved the way he sounded in that phone call.  He did sound sleepy, and sexy and smoochy.

I loved the part where he mentions he's lying in bed, thinking about her.  I would *die* if ever said that to me!   <^( <^( <^(

Oh me too!

I love it when Ellen calls him back and he goes "Ellen!"  like he's so so pleased she called him.  I'd pay to call him so he'd sound that happy to hear my voice!  :8  :8
