His schedule for the week is in the tv alerts thread. Conan is on tonight going into tomorrow (well it's really tomorrow but anyway  ;D) 12:35 am is the start time  :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Oh dear god....

Thank you so much to all of you who have been posting caps from Letterman ^f^

Dear god indeed!  This minute is my first foray onto this pix thread today -- might have known the caps from Letterman would already be here.  (I did watch the Letterman YouTube here at work today though.)  Sigh, sigh...  Hair, eyes, skin, lips, hands, everything.

You know what I always think is odd, is the too-soft chairs or couches they have on shows such as this.  This kind of chair is hard to sit cool in, because you sink down into it, and then you have to adjust your pants o whatever...and Jake did that at least once.  I don't like sinking down in a chair or on a couch unless I'm in PJ's.  So I always notice the extent to which people have to fidget to get themselves comfortable and their clothes arranged.  And no table to hide behind as on, say, Larry King or Charlie Rose.

Sorry for the little side foray...but you know nothing Jake escapes my notice.  Down to the soles of his shoes.

I'll be a bit cautious.  Let's avoid them for now.  We'll leave what is already there, but wouldn't add more.  But the pix of him in the show itself is enough to blind us and keep us happy.  :)

I don't see any pix of outside the ES Theater, so they were removed?  I guess I can see them at IHJ.  Where is the line, anyway, when it's a public event?  All the media are there with cameras, and the person knows it and expects it.  What if I was there and took pictures and posted them here?  It's not "official" photography, just a person taking pix.  But I wouldn't sell them for money, I guess that's the difference between my taking a pic and a pap pic.

Anyway, I do not disagree at all with any mod deciding to not let a pic be posted here (except for the naked one of Jack washing his clothes by the river, the full shot please)...I'm just talking.  Jakey has me all hepped up.

I personally agree, kathy.  But I am not sure how the other mods would feel.  Would any of you want me to bring this up with the other mods?  The worst is that they would ask us to take the pix down.

LJN said they were pap pix simply because IHJ classified them as such.  She posted them before she discovered this, and she did think -- like many of us -- that they were pix of a public event, which it is, IMO.

I would think that the pix ARE public event shots, but I would have to have the other mods agree with me.

I can bring this up, if some of you would want me to...

Sorry if this is OT but I support you in your opinion here Thomas and Kathy. I totally agree with the no-pap rule but, you know, when Jake is obviously posing for the cameras - I assume posting those pics are not being disrespectful. He's technically at a publicity event, just like red carpet shots and he certainly seems prepared in this instance to have his picture taken by anyone, including paps.

Thanks for bringing this up with the mods, Thomas. Go ahead and quote me if you want!

As an aside, I never noticed he had two different ties. Couldn't decide I guess. Both look gorgeous on him. I can't wait to see what outfit he comes up with tonight on Conan. He looks fantastic in anything!!! I don't know what it is about him wearing a scarf...Zing!

Okay, never mind my question about the ties; and I said I didn't see the outside-the-theater pix, but now I have.  I had to go back another page and saw them -- oh is he ever stunning!  Not that he wasn't stunning inside...but he's stunning outside, too.  But what was with the tie-change?  (I like the dots better than the stripes.)  I see pix outside with both ties -- are these pix before and after the show?

LJN and Kit, you are BAD for not being there!  We might have to take away your lifetime tickets on the JLT.  But I'm sure you can punish yourselves better than we can punish you, so never mind.  I would be so bummed if I knew I could have seen him and didn't.  If I did live in NYC I'm sure I would hang out by the various shows when I knew someone was going to be on...that is, if I had no RL!
