I have to leave early today and have my taxes done.  But I hope I have paid my dues to HIM for today. ;)

Good night, friends.  I shall see you tomorrow!

One more: from the gorgeous NYC "Zodiac" series!  :)

Beauty:

I might be in the minority here, but I actually prefer him clean-shaven, like this.  Not to say he doesn't look good with some fuzz, but his face is just so beautiful, why cover it up?   <^(

These both show Heath noticeably taller than Jake.  Don't ask me to explain it, but I like it this way.  If it were the other way around, it would be a different dynamic.  (I'm talking about Ennis and Jack, not really Heath and Jake).

That is just gorgeous.  I love the fact they are so close and supportive of each other.

I forget how much older she is -- four years?  I'm thinking of sibling dynamics, and from my own experience, I'm thinking that she just adored her little brother, kind of helped raise him, in such a sweet way that he idolized her.  Rather than any number of other scenarios that can go on between siblings.  I'm sure they had their fight-like-cats-and-dogs times, but it looks like they still have the mutual-adoration-society thing going on.

Just like that!  ;D  This is one of those poetry in motion shots... (t)

How can it be that for over a year I have beheld the perfection that is Jake...and still I am slayed again and again.  This is perfection -- he is amazingly perfect in clothes (or out).  I'm thinking just about no other man wears suits as well as he does.  And just the whole thing -- his movements.  He is so swoonworthy.  And delightful.  And funny, charming, intelligent, wise beyond his years.  Among other things.

I look at these and think "damn, I wish I'd known who he was back then, I could have gone to see him in his theatre debut"....makes me mad to think I missed that one-off opportunity.   :(

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Interesting comment, kathy.   Gay would read all sorts of things into that comment -- I'm sure you would guess some!

I really believe him when he says that Maggie is his best friend.  And getting tips and suggestions from her for Zodiac also shows that they have gone beyond the steroetypical sibling rivalry...

kathy, indeed, that BAFTA pic posted by Rosie is pure poetry in motion.  And I am sure he is equally exquisite without the sartorial trappings...
