It's hard to quantify what I find so beautiful in a profile pic such as this.   In this one, in particular, there is a tension that seems to be at the moment of release.  He is like the proverbial archer's bow of the philosophers: all inner dynamism that may be let go at any moment.  It is exquisite.  It is not static.  It bubbles with an inner life under that beautiful surface.  You know there is more to him under that skin.  And a profile pic such as this captures a purity of line as only artists can approximate: if only to capture the world of feeling within.
