Topic: E & J's Last Meet Up Time and Alma Jr's Age in the Short Story

I re-read the short story today and I thought I found something strange.  If you note, the author writes, E & J's last meet up was in May 1983.  In this section, Annie wries, E mentions to J that "..Alma, Jr., a shy seventeen-year-old with his beanpole length".  Alma Jr. can't be 17 in 1983.  She has to be 19.  She was born sometime in September 1964, because by January of that year, after the Summer of 1963 Alma was preganent.  Unless of course May 1983 should be May 1981???  Did anyone pick up on this??

about the timeline, I maybe wrong,  :'(  however from now on this timeline is in my heart timeless, it matter not what and when just that it remains evelasting
