Most Punchworthy Person at the Oscars
« on: Mar 06, 2006, 05:16 PM »
Sorry but i need some light relief.

The person i most wanted to punch, or at least give a good slap to at last night Oscars (or any occasion) was Matt Dillon. I am sick of seeing his stupid huge face with klingon forehead, and listening to his mind numbing interview answers.

Thats it vent over... ;)

Anyone got any other personal bugbears?

Not this year, but, when Titanic swept the Oscars, egomaniac James Cameron made me wanna hurl on my shoes.

OK, I can go here.  I am really sick of Reese Witherspoon's husband Ryan Phillippe.  He was ok last night I guess (and I didn't realize he was one of the cops in that movie that shall remain unspoken - so a bit of new respect for his acting).  But I abhorred him in the golden globes when he made Joaquin Pheonix's win about HIM.  He started dancing around when Joaquin was up there accepting his award.  Joaquin had to shut him up with "yeah, I'll pay you" or some such nonsense.  And then Hubby made a bigger thing of Reese winning the golden globe than she did.  In my opinion, he needs to know when to let the spotlight shine on someone ELSE.

slap slap slap

Whew,  I feel better now.

My favorite punching bag (and she is a bag), is Sandra Bullock and her zombie date Keanu Reeves. She was reason enough not to vote for Crash, and if Reeves had come to grips with his sexuality, it would have been another vote for BBM.

Thanks, this was fun.

Matt Dillon, yeah.  And Phillip Seymour Hoffman.  I thought he looked pretty damn smug.  I saw "Capote," and he was good in it, but hell, he was executive producer.  He made the movie so he could star in it.

Maybe some of you may or may not agree but after seeing Ryan Philippe and what's her name win the Oscar, the speech she made, truly showed the values of the conservative mood the Oscars wanted to reflect, the nice and wholesome little girl from tennesse wishing more movies like walk the line be made, and Rachel Weiz said the Oscars mood brought us into the 70th era and she was thrilled about it,  so no Cugo to  Nicholson for having totally Crashed when saying the envellope please and the winner is Crash, slap me silly with his grin from here to hell has yet to fall asleep and the Cast of Crash for insensitvity

I don't think they will ask Jon Stewart to host the awards again.  He didn't just suck he blows.  And not in the good sense of the word.

I think the best part of the Oscars was the skit of all the people turning down the "honor" of hosting.  There has got to be a story there somewhere.

Why couldn't th eupset be Heath Ledger getting the best actor instead of PSH?

PSH (I never thought I'd ever say this, but he was better looking as Capote than he is in real life...he just makes me shudder)

Ryan Phillipe is an idiot to the nth degree.

Reese Witherspoon, If'n I gotta hear how she's from Tennessee one more a time, I'm a gonna go kick her hillbilly ass with my Ohio heeled boots!

The guy has always been too full of himself. I love the klingon thing. LMAO
There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.

Ennis, riding against the wind back to the sheep in the treacherous, drunken darken light, thought he'd never had such a good time, felt he could paw the white out of the moon.

very funny comments!  I thought Reese was a bit much too and her hubby looked so pissed off, he wasn't getting the attention?  I really liked John Stewart.  I like his dry sense of humour :)

I thought George Clooney's acceptance speech was first class.  He was very humble (surprising!). :)

her zombie date Keanu Reeves.

ermm...sorry to intrude...Keanu is looking after his dying sister...he can look like a zombie if he wants too.

Now my punch bag would be Matt Dillon..can't stand the actor.. (his acting) can't stand the guy either...have never met him, but I don't like him in interviews.
